Just a comment. I continue to be amazed and how people in the CPC , like Regina Ip, think and understand the world. That photo is so dumb and self centered - why does anyone care what a rich person of means thinks or what they buy. Is it possible that CPC officials are just stage actors trapped in their communist environment? I wonder, are their ideals , thoughts and actions are real and internalized and self actualized - or they just ‘trapped’ doing these really obviously dumb / bellicose things so they can protect their good living in CPC and in China. Do they have a pascals wager type view vis a vis their relationship with China or are they reallycommunist to their core? I wonder. Very strange way to live either way.
