Right now the LLM approach is very expensive to run, but like all such things we can expect the pricing to fall. As it does so, it will become easier and more practical to run such models on your home PC.

By then of course they'll claim their models are basically sentient gods and we should only listen to them, but eventually we'll see AI v AI, and 'good enough' will win if it's free and uncensored.
