DuckDuckGo has been my go-to. I’ll try Yandex for research, they may be better than DDG (certainly shorter name). Someone in a thread mentioned using Ecosia. Have never tried it. It’s almost an insurmountable challenge once you realize google has over 90% of the market. Hell, it was not easy to change search engines and that was with me actually wanting to!
