These days it's probably a more than likely chance that if China sells so-called lethal aid to Russia, some enterprising person will resell it on the black market, that, or the hapless Russian military will end up looking down the wrong end of whatever it is China supplies. I don't know if Zhongnanhai wants to add Russia to its list of embarrassments.
