This is a good point. The Italian website Bitter Winter has much to say about this. About looking away, this is what so many did, here I'm thinking specifically of British, U.S., French, and Swedish enterprises, in the run-up to WWII, and thus funded the rearmament of Nazi Germany. Disinvestment contributed to the collapse of the South African apartheit movement. Why this isn't happening in China still baffles me.
