As a young girl into early womanhood, my family owned a small neighborhood video store - it was just as much fun behind the counter helping people decide on their entertainment and getting great recommendations in kind. Customers would bring a holiday meal to whomever was working the short shift that day, some would just stop in to say hi, and neighbors would meet up by happenstance in our aisles. It was a real community and it was wonderful! I'm missing book and music stores in much the same way.
