Even rabidly pro-vaxers (like my mom) are understanding that this is happening. She had a "covid scare" a few weeks ago (she's double boosted) due to an "exposure". Now, my 79 yo aunt, who is double boosted and immune compromised due to a prolonged chemo course for stage 4 ovarian cancer has tested positive. My mom is "very worried" (as she should be) -- and suddenly no mention of "thank God she's boosted." The women in my family are extraordinarily long-lived and healthy -- my grandmother was 106 1/2 when she died, and had only been in assisted living 6 months. Her mother lived to 92 with diabetes -- but I find I now have a constant low-level anxiety about my mom and aunt because of these stupid jabs. At least every email doesn't end in "and I DO wish you'd get vaccinated" anymore.
