I believe that most of them are simple-minded people like any other people and they have fallen victim to the century-long propaganda and brainwashing with religious exceptionalism (read The Chosen Ones), feeling of insecurity (from the holocaust and other persecutions), and constant pampering by the western countries (read $$$). Add racism to the mix (European settlers) and you get a bunch of entitled assholes (read most Israelis). However, eliminating some of the factors could significantly alter their attitude. I am hopeful.

I believe that no group of people is inherently evil. We should give them the opportunity to correct their ways. We did that for the Japanese and Germans, we can do the same for Israelis.
