Yes, well observed. It is not uncommon for hate groups to invest heavily in demonizing and dehumanizing their targets. Once this is accomplished, it becomes possible to proceed to unspeakably injurious attacks, which seem more palatable to the movement's followers because the groundwork has been laid to perceive the targets as less than deserving of common human decency. When I was living in Lyons, France, I was fascinated by the comprehensive collection of World War II propaganda at the Resistance Museum. It used many of the same rhetorical strategies to portray Jews and homosexuals as vile monsters that feminism uses to vilify men and boys. It sickens me that universities allow and condone this behavior.
