The same dynasty that gave away Hong Kong, Taiwan, Shanghai, Qindao... need I go on. The Qing dynasty had about 100 years of stable trade relations and tributes from most of what is considered modern China. They did not control it. Their lack of control and weakness of governance is what led to the 100 year humiliation.
