I've disputed your citations about peak oil in precious rebuttals and won't do it again. Technology has always saved us from those assessments. As fossil fuels become more expensive we have alternatives that can be used, many not even known today. We have only just begun to tap solar energy in ways that Meinel in the late 60's couldn't have anticipated in his designs for Sodium storage. Some efforts will need the climate Luddites that refuse to allow any alternatives to their chosen ones to bear fruit.
