on that, i must disagree. i have spent decades working with an interacting with the FDA and while, sure, there's always been a bit of politics and crony capitalism, i've never seen anything remotely like what has happened over the last 2 years.

also note we have had an acting FDA head for 2 years. she's still not confirmed. this means that she is, in effect, still interviewing for the job and when to to jump, better ask "how high?"

that's a recipe for regulatory capture.
