also, you're ignoring just straight senescence which does play a large role.
am 85 year old with no comorbidities has a covid population fatality ratio similar to that of a 50 year old with comorbidities. but it's still a risk 10X higher than a 50 year old that similarly lacks comorbidities.
you're looking only at a partial picture and arguing by straw man.
