Could have written this 100%. One income (and not a six figure one either), used cars (ten years old minimum), 700 sq ft condominium was our first home purchase, cooking and baking at home (rarely eat out - not even fast food), until four years ago my husband had a nice cellphone for work, and I carried one of those jobbies you buy at Wal-Mart and pay as you go. My point: our only child was and is the center of priorities and "sacrifices" must be made (we never thought we were sacrificing anything - I felt and still feel like I'm wealthy ๐Ÿ˜‰).
