It's not just CA. The VA has implemented this same policy nationwide and the largest hospital system in NH has just made the same announcement - everyone who works for them must be vaccinated by 9/30. It's insane and there's no discussion of those with existing immunity and having a test for that (which is exactly what is done for things like measles, mumps, rubella, and chickenpox).
