I like all that you say. Oh, yes, the patriarchal system. It was a thing, and still is in ways, but I am so happy to have grown up when I did. My best friend from high school dropped out of college (early 70s) and joined the Feminist Press in NYC - she sent me a box of literature, and I was shocked, and converted. At the same time, I have always loved men. I loved my father. Yes, yes, yes - "the way men tend to commodify and sexualise" - and it grieves me when women go along with that, and some do! I call it immaturity. And maybe we all do that some in our youth? I liked being attractive to men. I still like to be attractive, in a very mild way, to the few older men in my life. But there is balance, and not listening to the immature voice in our heads. I am happy to know you!
