In another newsletter, William Zarit is quoted as saying that virtually all Chinese officials to whom he has spoken recently say US-Chinese problems are entirely caused by the US. I have yet to meet a Chinese businessman who would agree. Does this mean that Chinese officials are just regurgitating the party line, or are they really that out of touch?
