This planet and all the flora and fauna that exists on it evolved on its own, with no help whatsoever from any “god”. Darwin pretty much proved that.

Which is why I’m Pagan. NATURE is the higher power because it’s the one thing far, far more powerful than humanity. The Goddess ( and I call her “Goddess” because she is MOTHER Nature) is neither benevolent nor malevolent. She simply IS.

She is a tornado, a hurricane, an avalanche. She is also the tree that shades your home, the ripe strawberry freshly picked from your patch, the baby robins in the nest in that shade tree.

If there is a god, who supposedly loves ALL his children, why does he allow such carnage among us? I know all about that free will bullshit, but any decent god would protect the innocents against those exhibiting vile “free will”.
