I’m wondering about the Didi news. The company’s global reach is already quite substantial so if the Didi were to potentially come under state control, that data trove could be be very useful and possibly cross national security boundaries in the US. Could the CCP gaining access to this data through the Didi takeover be the main reason for this or is it merely to clip the wings of big tech? Or possibly kill two birds with one stone? Either way, the news is extremely interesting.
