At this point I've given up writing reps and senators ("please, pretty please, stop using my money like this") and have almost given up on outrage for political actions. The spending is so absurd and out of control and it's happening with complete disregard not just for ethics and common sense but also for voter wishes.

It's time to just focus our energies on building a better system: self-sovereignty in every area that we can, strong local communities, and some form of economic exchange that doesn't depend on the central banks (bitcoin, gold, trade).
