Reality will hit the American public in the form of deprivation so acute it can no longer be sustained.. This is unfortunate, but seems the only possibility: under such circumstances the correct culprit becomes easy to identify: the guy who made deals with criminal elements in Ukraine to hide the corruption, including the firing of a prosecutor who was getting ready to lean on his son concerning his under-the- table arrangements with a corrupt oil company, Burisma, for which he received about $ I million year salary for doing nothing. Especially, nothing. "The Ruskies did it" seems less convincing when you're paying 4x more for gas, and prices have gone over the top. It's less convincing when leaked information indicates the $30 billion+ sent to Ukraine, 70% of which ended up in the pockets of Ukraine criminals, was paid out knowing it was a useless enterprise with no chance of winning the proxy war.
