The initial idea was in a governement ordered report put together during the late 1980s/early 1990s, where the conclusion was that Africa and the Middle East was ideal "recruiting ground" for migration. I suggest you put a sturdy pillow in place before I sum up the reasons. 1) Getting peoplefrom western Europe/North america to migrate here was deemd nextto impossible due to too much having to change re: private property, taxation, et cetera. The cultura ldivide was deemed to great. The christianity of americans especially was singled out as a potential problem. 2) Central/South Europe was deemed inadvisable for basically the same reasons. 3) Asia was deemed too far off for people to make the leap. 4) As African and Mid-Eastern cultures were judged far more primitive civilisationally speaking, it was taken as a fact that migranst from there once settled in would abandon their ways and voluntarily assimilate and rapidly become "new swedes" (that's the actual term used).
