You know, both this and AIDs and stuff like syphilis is real easy to combat, and there's even a surefire way to get governement onboard too, possibly. An extra tax (or call it a fee maybe) on everyone who contracts monkey-pox. Say $2 000/year? Maybe $5 000? Not deductible of course. I guarantee that the very specific subset of people spreading such diseases with reckless abandon would mend their ways sharpish, and start testing themselves, using protection and become if not monogamous so at least not prone to "glory hole pot-luck".
