They will make you (society's individuals) conform even if it makes no sense. It is a power play and a way to break down your own internal compass of right and wrong. Pretty effective control if you can force people to say something they know to be untrue. Eventually the person will just do it without the hard gulp they had to do when they first submitted. They will hardly notice anymore. Their kids will adopt the non grammatically correct pronoun because that's how it was when born.

Eventually the cattle will be herded into the chute. Some go willingly, some fight then give in. Sometimes there are a remnant of cattle that will not yield to the prod. What to do with them?

You probably saw that the girl requiring the pronouns they/them would not tolerate being called by their name. That is when it should be (but isn't) painfully obvious that this is not about respect and kindness.
