It's easy to blame the boogey man of "Russia/China" when in fact that people who are working hardest against you live in your own backyard.

Also... when you blame the former, you don't have to do "anything" because they're located "far away." When they're in your own nation/state/city, well, it's easier to look the other way and, once again.... do nothing.

/sliding into tyranny... because accepting "nothing can be done" and not even trying is the easiest course of action.
