For people with elderly parents, there is a level of altruism with this as well.

"I'll take it because the hospital will require it for me to see my parent if they get sick."

or

"I don't want to unknowingly infect my parent with COVID and cause them to die, so I'll take the vaxx."

I know a bunch of people who fall into the above category. And... they keep getting vaxxed.
