Well, I'm not an optimist, but if we're having a discussion about fighting back then this was how I'd fight back.

I don't think Trump actually did spend all that much of his own money if all accounting is done.

I agree with you about two generations, because these littlest kids coming up now are so fucked over they're going to be entirely unfit for raising healthy productive kids of their own. A liberal woman on Twitter was whining about her 4 yr. old having to wear a mask onstage at the school holiday performance and my remarks about her complicity in this weren't taken well. She and her peers will undoubtedly be demanding state money to remedy the developmental and educational delays the state caused in the first place. I've zero patience for this idiocy still going on and the complete spinelessness of these parents.

But in the end people always bounce back though the shape of their societies may be greatly altered. Just not wanting to be crushed in the upheavals coming.
