I took more than a 40 year gap between my first enthusiasm for crochet (and some sad clumsy knitting) and getting back into the pleasure of it. The difference is now I find myself trying to do storytelling in yarn. Since I haven't the patience for color-stranded work I cover my garments with appliques and 3-d creatures.
