Was Amy Wax being "unnecessarily blunt"? I think not....I think she was being necessarily blunt and if more serious (ie non-groupthink) academics and intellectuals had had the courage to be 'more blunt' (and less craven) over recent decades, our civilisation might not be in the mess it is. I reviewed Heather Mac Donald's grahamcunningham.substa… a while ago and anyone who's read her book could be left under no illusions about just how much bluntness is really needed to counter the ignorant fairy-tales about race and gender that pass for scholarship in our dismal academic Monasteries of Groupthink.
