I'm not sure I concur. Yes, not electing idiots is definitely a requirement, but surely you know there are going to be people running for election who are the same old crap just pretending to be MAGA to get votes. Whether you're a fan of the whole MAGA thing or not, I presume you can see how electing not-idiots who are nevertheless masquerading as something they are not is likely to not be great.

To put it a different way, I certainly don't require candidates to *be* MAGA, but I'm going to insist that they not be *faking* MAGA if they're claiming it. And yes, also not being idiots. ;)
