Read Putin's speech given just before the Ukraine war started. Too many Americans are ignorant of the history since the dissolution of the USSR. This war did not start on Feb 24, 2022. You do not have to be a Putin fanboy to realize the difference between apologia--and reasons. The USA certainly did not appreciate the USSR basing nuclear missiles in Cuba in 1962. Most Americans also do not realize that Ukraine has been part of either the Russian Empire or the USSR from 1745 to 1992.
