To clarify my "level of ethnic cleansing" comment above, I don't think Anthony Blinken was theoretically, not technically, claiming China has been commiting genocide in Xinjiang. However, I haven't seen the specific facts from the State Department yet that meet the UN definition for either genocide or crimes against humanity in Xinjiang. I'm sure when they become public, the facts will be horrifying, further undermining Xi's effort to be the "new model" for the world.
