Thanks LC.. I agree on the general application of tariffs in the context of a "trade war". The objective is to punish the "enemy" more than punish yourself. In the case of our Chinese tariffs we have little succeeded in punishing China while absolutely cost our consumers and industrial importers billions.. Since the tariffs have failed to provide the US with a substantial trade benefit, I guess I conclude the Biden Admin is keeping them in place to reinforce our "Boogeyman" political posture towards China.
