I think eventually every financial institution will be forced to go CBDC including credit unions. Canadian here: I think the big banks will be first so perhaps credit union buys some time. A friend has transferred trading activity to a non bank affiliated brokerage, she's opted forQuestrade. I don't know how good/bad they are. I've been buying some hard assets (things you can touch and hold). It doesn't completely solve the problem but at least helps to keep what's yours as yours, at least for a while longer... Also stock up on food and supplies especially non perishables and keep your freezer stocked up.
