The problem is the US gov. as well as the Canadian gov. I think they made a deal; there were at least 2 trips to the US by a Cdn official that I believe were deals to close the border. Unvaxxed Canadians aren't allowed into the US and unvaxxed Americans can't come into Canada. On top of that, we have a very unpopular 'app': ArriveCan that is a deterrent for anyone trying to get into Canada, even returning, vaxxed Canadians. Actually, it may be possible for unvaxxed Americans to come to Canada but the testing and quarantine requirements means who would want to. Our gov's just don't want us traveling.
