I left the US in 1992 not for political reasons but more for culture reasons. I have never regretted the decision. I lived in Brazil for 30 yrs and now in Portugal. The US I knew no longer exists but the same could be said for much of the world. I completely understand your feelings about home. It's a real shame what has happened to the US. I will not return there as long as this government is in power.

I'm pretty sure that with the merger of high tech companies bending the knee the government has collected huge amounts of information on our internet habits and are probably already making entry into the country an ordeal of worry. It's not worth returning.
