Signal's criticism of this mix-up is legitimate. I'm willing to give Michael the benefit of doubt and chalk it up to an error. But those kind of errors point to a weakness of independent journalists, no fact checkers (in the old, good sense of fact checking) and no layers of editors. I would hope Michael will address this error forthrightly and pledge care go I ng forward.
As to Hanania, this critique could be applied to any leftist columnist. He appears to require a higher standard for those pushing what he terms "conservative" ideas and positions. And his take that voters would have selected Harris if inflation was only a little lower is certainly unproven. Has he talked to Trump voters? I doubt it.
