That may be true but I doubt it. I know too many Jews private and public, who support Israel and its atrocities privately and publicly and who always have done.
However, if what you say were true then where have we seen the Sephardic or Mizrahi protests and condemnation of Zionist Israel over 76 years. One can be complicit by omission as well as commission. I am well aware of the position of some orthodox Jews toward Israel and Zionism from the start, but, even there, they were a minority for most of the time Israel was committing war crimes and human rights atrocities on a daily basis.
And while it is wrong to condemn all followers of any religion for the crimes of some, or indeed, many, it is a fact that any religion which has supported atrocities for any reason must be held accountable even if a few or most of its followers were complicit by omission or commission in crimes and atrocities.
I can understand why people want to separate Zionism from Judaism and that is exactly what must now be done, but just as one could not categorically separate Nazism from Germany or Fascism from Italy or Stalinism from Russia then neither can one do it with Zionism and Judaism. For 76 years Israel has called itself the Jewish State and from most Jews, nearly all Jews, there has been silence.
And because Jews are a religion and not a State like Germany, Russia, Italy, it behoves them even more to surgically remove the terminal growth that is Zionism from their religion and themselves, for the sake of their religion and its conscience if nothing more.
