“Never again” is now used in many different ways, including noble ones, but the Zionist who first popularized it meant something entirely different from what we think (Israeli hasbara doesn’t bring this up so much): he said, after the Nazi Holocaust, that never again would Jews be pushed around by Gentiles; from now on, Jews would do the pushing.
