I doubt these people are dumb. The idea that people have to be dumb to be controlled is an odd notion. There are plenty of people who are intelligen, nonetheless controlled. How many of us complied even with a few of the restrictions? Were we stupid? dumb? or just didn't want to deal with the hassle? My risk reward for wearing masks on Uber rides was simple. Did I want to have a conversation about masks or did I want to get a ride to my medical appointment? At the doctors, did I want to deal with being hassled about masks at the doctors office, or did I want to see a doctor? I decided it wasn't worth the risk, and that risk was small. What would have happened? Would I have been denied medical care? Would I have been asked to sit outside the building until I was called? A big part of it was the unknown.
