I vaguely remember a study that was done many years ago about voters. It found that when someone (especially of the male variety) had to fight to defend voting for candidate A or B, that even when/if said candidate turned out to be a complete fraud and a flop, the voter would stubbornly support who they voted for no matter what. Weird dynamic. So the more you make people defend diaper Joe or Kacklin' Kammy, the harder they will support these nincompoops. So now I just smile and walk away.
