you seem to not be a German speaker. "Kampf" does not mean struggle, it means FIGHT. As in war. "​Die Soldaten haben mutig gekämpft". "Die Armee kämpft". "Jihad" means struggle as in heavy effort. Not murder and shooting. There is Greater Jihad (struggle with one's own Self) and Lesser Jihad (struggle for a just world in this world).
