I always say that modern liberalism has become a reflexive faith centered on victim worship and rooted in white guilt and white saviorism—and I thought I was just being cynical...I encourage all those people you overheard to give up their homes and paychecks to the Wretched of the Earth, but a govt and its laws can't really be founded on compassion for the imagined Other and the "rectification of historical injustice".

One half of our citizens seem to believe that the purpose of govt is to help people from other countries!
