Excellent piece. The toxic masculinity frame is presented by the pronounists without a contrasting positive concept, which then enables them to essentially define it as masculinity in general. This of course is the entire rhetorical purposes of the castrators. Narcissistic grifters like Tate are the logical flip side. If one side says 'all masculine traits are bad', including the good ones, the other side can simply respond 'all masculine traits are good', including the bad ones. For most young boys the latter message is obviously more appealing, meaning that the they will model themselves on the Tates of this world.
