They are entitled to their opinions and I understand their frustrations. However, we all do take the Hippocratic oath. People do all sorts of stupid things and make lots of bad decisions. And sometimes make good decisions and still wind up in medical jeopardy. I would counter that no physician I know would refuse to treat an AIDs patient b/c of their diagnosis or means of acquiring the illness. Same with any STD. How about a motorcycle rider that suffers a serious accident? Heart or COPD patient that keeps smoking? Severe flu case in the ICU but patient chose to not be vaccinated? Refuse to take medication for all of the above and so many other illnesses?
Screw them, those schmucks should have known better!
Seriously? This is what it has come to?!
It is unacceptable to refuse treatment because of behavior and a violation of the oath taken by physicians. And even worse to pick and choose for which behavior we are going to refuse treatment. I emphatically disagree with the behavior of those physicians.
