That's funny - it was delta that took my sense of smell and gave me a mild case of long covid. The fatigue has gone but I only have about 50% of my smell back (I can enjoy my food again but still can't detect dog farts!). Omicron was an almost imperceptible blip in the middle of the fatigue trajectory. Such as weird illness. It's encouraging to hear you got your sense of smell back.
