It's Alinsky more than Lenin. Lenin was a brutal murdering thug (Stalin has a worse reputation but Lenin was a mass murderer par excellence.) Alinsky is brilliant and a lot of fun when not being used against you. He uses social shaming rather than explicit violence, but that can be flipped. Someone at the Trump White House knows how to use this.
