In fact most dollars today are created through nothing more than accounting entries at the Fed and fractional reserve financial institutions (namely banks). The existing state of affairs isn't going to save us from terminal inflationary resolution due to decades of monetary distortion. However concerns regarding privacy and personal choice due to imposition of CBDC's are absolutely valid.
