Everything Biden is doing on China if for appearances. Everything that Xi is doing vs the US is substantive. DIDI is a good example, but there are many others. The CCP knows weakness and the US regime is not just weak, but illegitimate with its own people. The Biden regime's use of CCP tactics to control the narrative is failing, it only appeals to the elites and DNC apparatchiks, similar to the 92m CCP members facing down a country of 1.4b. Because there are still enough resistance valves in the US, I fear the blowback will be harsh and spectacular, leaving a window open for Xi to execute a takeover of Taiwan and god knows what other horrors.
