I thought the NBC coverage of the Typhoon report was one of the true lows for journalistic coverage of the Hunter Biden laptop. The entire piece was devoted to creating some shady intelligence persona around Balding and his confidant, when, in actuality, the Biden campaign hasn't denied anything related to any of the conclusions leveled (presumably out of legal advice).

But what is even more striking and concerning is the will of the media in the United States to cover for the CCP. The Typhoon report was mostly about the Chinese elements - the individual actors, the legal entities, etc that are used to peddle influence in the West. NBC did not mention a single aspect of the content. The NBC article, at its heart, was really the same quality disinformation that it accuses Russia of on a daily basis.

Finally, when you combine the media's lack of interest, or notable "conspiracy theory" reaction function to the Wuhan Lab being the source of COVID-19, we can't help but conclude that the US media has been captured by the CCP. This is in addition to all the other business interests the CCP has captured in our country.

I find the whole thing incredibly disheartening.
